Tare - the best basting sauce
Use this glaze on literally anything. You won’t regret it, I promise.
Tare (soy glaze) (~2 cups)
Soy Sauce - 1 cup
Mirin - 1 cup
Sake - ½ cup
Brown Sugar - ½ cup
Sherry Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Scallions - 5 each
Ginger - 2 inches sliced thin
Method
Place all ingredients into a pot and reduce until it is ‘nape’ or coats the back of a spoon, roughly in ½.
